This site is a tribute to David. He is much loved and we will always remember him.
It is impossible to put into a few words just how amazing David is and we are so lucky to be able to say he is a member of our family. We also know how extremely popular David is and we invite you to share any lovely stories, memories, kind thought or photos you may have of him on this page. This will be a great comfort to the family and especially to our Mum.
Thank you for sharing your lovely comments about David, all your kindnesses and for your generosity to Guts UK. This is much appreciated. This disease is terrible and a silent killer, however, 59% of all cases are avoidable and if caught early enough it is treatable. If possible please go to the Guts UK website to familiarise yourselves with the early symptoms of Oesphagus Cancer and precautionary measures you can take as the illness is not just linked to genetics - e.g. don't eat your food or drinks too hot etc - if it helps anyone to avoid the cancer or catch the disease in its early days it is so worth it. It will take five minutes of your time to read up about the disease. Please pass on this information to friends, family, colleagues - as David wanted to find some way of ensuring no one had to go through what he did. Avoidance and early diagnosis is the way. Thank you
